UST’s Faculty of Medicine Surgery is also known for its being strict when it comes to deadlines. The PLM, although a not-so-popular university if you will talk about other courses, is still one of the top-rated medical schools in the Philippines. The good thing about PLM is it’s public-funded by the City of Manila. This allows the medical students to have a lower tuition fee despite the costly medical education. In return, every Physician Licensure Examination passer is required to be a part of the City’s Count-Me-In-Program which renders public service.

It was the year 1957 when the Department of Medicine was established by Dr. Gonzalo F. Austria. Since then, the department boosted its quality in providing medical education. If you have already enrolled in this school, have in mind that you might have a lot of vacant time. It might come on your end to do something else rather than to study about difficult subjects like Anatomy and BioChem. During simulation and exercises like dissecting cadavers, make sure that you participate because application is the highest extent of learning. If you don’t practice what you are learning in lectures, then you will not be able to understand the real world of medicine.
